Waffle Recipe
from Norwegian Cooking for Everyone
Makes around 10
- 3.5 oz butter
- 4 eggs
- 4-5 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups milk
Melt the butter. Combine in a bowl with the remaining ingredients and
beat until smooth. Let the batter rest for around 15 minutes. It should
be the texture of a thick sauce. If too stiff, add a little cold water.
Bake on a greased hot waffle iron. Freshly baked, lukewarm waffles are
delicious with sour cream and jam, and cold waffles are goo with butter
and brown goat cheese.
