Making lefse seems straight ahead, but it's an art form. There are many different subtle twists to the basic water, potatoes, etc. Everybody seems to have their little secret twist. The world famous American food writer James Beard, promoted a recipe with corn syrup, buttermilk and cardamon. The lodge usually does 40 to 60 lbs of potates for Lefse once a month. This is a good time of fellowship and we sell out at our 1st Sunday of the month brunch.
